Obama gets no applause from military officers until prompted.

Just found this clip recently. It happened August 5, 2011. In fact, many outlets are just now getting this footage.

It shows President Obama coming into a group of Naval Officers to give a speech. When Obama was introduced, no applause was forthcoming from the officers.

Having none of this, the admiral by Obama's side, decides to tell the officers they can cheer. At which they did, but it looks really weird.

The same thing happened to President Bush in June 2005, and the news media was all over the story. Trying to paint the military as disrespectful and not willing to honor Bush. Of course that would be their take.

But why not now? Why not make the same stink about President Obama?

Military officers should not be cajoled into cheering for a president. It's phony, and way out of military character.
