DISH needs Fox News ASAP

Going on two weeks without fox news. We never realized how many hours daily we watched it. It's where we get all of our news. They are the only network that will stand up for veterans, our military, and our police officers.

DISH says not to change as that's not the answer. That's very funny. Just a few months ago, DirectTV ditched the weather channel. Big deal, right? I mean how many people watch that instead of fox? And DISH clearly made a campaign to switch if you need the weather channel!!!!!!

And now they say, "Don't switch"? Hilarious only if it were not so sad.

I'll bet foxs newsies like us would gladly pay more for it. We would. Raise our rates a buck a month and move on.

What's even more sad, is that we are paying almost 50% more for the SAME channels as we did when we first signed up! I never hear DISH tell us they were sorry, or they will give us more premium channels, or the like. Nothing. Your bill just keeps going up without any reason.

Here's the bad part. Fox news is to blame. They have zero ways for us to watch it now. They do no streaming online. I'd pay for that service in a heart beat. Fox news has enough cash and people to get a streaming service up and running today. Just think of the millions of DISH people who would be paying for it?

Oh well. We are all just pawns in corporate games. And consumers are the losers.

Perhaps, just perhaps, we can make DISH pay dearly with much less revenue by all of is standing together and ditching any cable/satellite TV service that does not have fox news.

January 1st, and still no fox news, we are outta there!

CIA Report Hurts Veterans, Military, and United States Citizens

Everybody now has heard about the CIA report from the Senate. This was not a bipartisan report. It was a political report. Senator Feinstein did not have to release it. She chose to release it because she knew with Republicans in charge in a few days, it would never have seen the light of day. There was no reason to release it.

First of all, everybody on both sides of the political aisle say this could cause the deaths of Americans around the world. Military and civilian. So why release it? Remember the lunacy about Benghazi having something to do with a video? That the person releasing the video was wrong because of the violence? It proved to be NOT for the video, but what about now? Someone else can be wrong to release something that affects American lives, but the United States can? Flat out wrong.

We need to make no apologies for keeping America safe. Nobody knows what information was gotten. In fact, no CIA members were ever interviewed. How can you have a report like this, yet nobody who was there was ever talked to? That's crazy.

Look at the lame liberal media. Calling this torture. Calling this unamerican. Calling us like Nazi Germany. Such idiots. We had no idea what was coming next after 9-11. We had to do everything in our power. And we should be dang grateful that the CIA did this. Very grateful. There is no point in releasing something like this. We now do not use these techniques. So why report on what we did 13 years ago? Makes no sense. Other than being political. Our enemies hate us anyway. This is not going to make them start hating us.

But it does make our military more open to attacks. Here and abroad. That's shameful.

Why doesn't the newsmedia have a problem with drones? We drop unmanned drones on people who we only suspect are terrorists. We have indeed killed innocent victims with our drones. President Obama is the Drone King. The newsmedia gives this a pass.

Somehow it is "okay" to kill a person, no trial, innocent bystanders and all. Oh but we can't waterboard them! That's mean!

Gruber was right. The American people are stupid. Stupid for voting these people into office. Stupid for listening to the lame media call enhanced interrogation bad, but killing good.

We for one need a secret CIA. They do not need to air their dirty laundry. They are the people who are keeping us safe. And we say, do everything you can to keep us that way.

Can Robert McDonald clean up the VA?

We certainly hope so. Our optimism is due to the fact that the new head of Veterans Affairs, Robert McDonald, has come out with some explicit items. He estimates that upwards of 1,000 employees who were involved with fake wait times and other despicable things done to our wounded veterans could be fired. Somebody should. We hope this is not just talk.

But more than firings need to be done. This also gives us hope, as Robert McDonald has also said that he would like a complete overhaul of the VA. It sure needs it.

The bad part here, is that Mr. McDonald has no military experience. We wish someone had a past history working with the military and veterans. Of course the VA is a huge, bloated, misguided organization. McDonald does have experience running a huge company, Proctor & Gamble. That company is actually the largest of its kind in the world. So that is a little hope. Problem is, he is dealing with federal workers and bureaucracy. You can't just fire people and make changes at will. THAT is what really needs to be changed for virtually every federal agency. Incompetent employees and mismanagement should be dealt with quickly, and with little fuss. Not dealing with rules about federal employees.

One big name has been axed. Terry Gerigk Wolf, director of the Pittsburgh VA Healthcare System, has been canned. Of course it took 2 years and only after congress passed laws making it easier. She was director when veterans died from Legionnaire's disease due to water at various Pittsburgh VA hospitals. But it took two years.

Of course we would like to give a shout out to dedicated nurses, doctors, and hospital personnel at VA hospitals who we know are on the front lines giving their all for our veterans.

The Veterans Administration is the second largest government agency in the United States. What's number one? Our military. Makes sense to us. Those are our top priorities. Keeping this country safe, and, supporting our military men and women at all levels.

This crap at the VA hospitals has been going on for decades. We'd like to give Secretary McDonald a chance. It can't be done overnight.

There are still to this day long wait times to be seen for our veterans. The total veterans waiting has shrunk, however. Some are now allowed to go to private doctors and clinics. More of this should be done, as well as hiring more people. Good people, that is.

In the meantime, how about you? Can you support our hurting veterans a little more? Can you volunteer your time at a VA center or hospital? Can you help out with organizations that do?

Are you a nurse or a doctor? Perhaps an LVN? Even a patient care person like a nurse assistant? Why not apply to work with our veterans? The rewards will be much greater than anything monetary.

Want some good news? Two VA hospitals in the Tampa, Florida were both named as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures Award from The Joint Commission on hospital accrediting.

Shouldn't all VA hospitals make this list?

Christmas joy cannot be bought at Toys R Us

Toys R Us should be ashamed of themselves using this banner, taken outside the Toys R Us in Corona, CA. If this is what all Toys R Us stores are doing, shame on them. True Christmas joy is not purchased in a store. It's free. It's peace, love, hope, and the true meaning of Christmas joy: Jesus Christ.

It won't be found in toys not needed that will soon be broken and discarded.
It won't be found by spending money you don't have on things nobody needs.

Please share the real Christmas Joy!

Why are some accidents a political opportunity?

A 9 year old girl tragically kills someone at a shooting range. And it blows up across the country as a political opportunity. Somehow, some people just can't let a tragedy pass by without making the airwaves and blowing off the smoke of their political agenda. That is a tragedy too.

That accident had nothing to do with guns or gun control. It was an accident. An accident that ended in tragedy. That's it. It's not an opportunity to make political statements, speeches, rallies, or news commentary nonsense. But CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and others just can't pass it up. It's too juicy for them. So they make ridiculous statements about gun control and the like. And how one political party or the NRA is to blame for each and every shooting that takes place. Idiotic to be sure. Sadly, many Americans lap that garbage up.

However, reality must sink in eventually, or this country is in trouble. Last week, an 8 year old girl fell to her death in Yellowstone. Did you hear any political statements? Any commentary on CNN about trail control, parental control, Yellowstone being unsafe, or any commentary at all? Of course not. It was an accident that ended in tragedy. But let a gun be involved, and the loonies spring to life.

Did CNN or NPR do a story on why parents should not take their kids to Yellowstone? People fall and die in Yosemite, as well as many national parks.

Each year kids and adults are killed by the thousands in car accidents, pools, spas, on bicycles, playing sports, and more. Where are the speeches? Where are the political rallies? Where are the politicians crowing on the news about more "fun" control?

But some incident involving a gun, and look out. Every liberal looney will be crowing about gun control. Notice how they are silent when a black kid gets gunned down in Chicago? LA? New Orleans? Memphis? They are silent.

Shame on you, America, for politicizing every accident like this.

Marine Veteran Not Welcome at Six Flags

(Update on post below. Six Flags has since apologized. We knew they would. Don't mess with veterans.)

A Marine veteran was denied entrance to a Six Flags theme park. Why? Because he had the audacity to be wearing a Marine T-shirt with a machine gun on it. Apparently machine guns on shirts at Six Flags are no-nos. Complete idiocy. If Marine veterans are not welcome, let's all feel unwelcome.

However, let's take a look at some of the rides at the nearest Six Flags to me, Magic Mountain.

The Buccaneer.....called a pirate ship. Pirates are okay?

The Swashbuckler....see above.

Wonder Woman Lasso of Doom...lassos are okay?

Ninja...the black belt of doom...martial arts perfectly acceptable?

Check out some other names of rides:

Apocalypse, BATMAN The Ride, Dive Devil, GREEN LANTERN: First Flight, LEX LUTHOR: Drop of Doom, SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton, Scream, Slingshot, THE RIDDLER’S Revenge, Viper. Such nonviolent names, right?

And here's the kicker. They have Fright Fest every year for Halloween. Here's a quote from their website:

"Fright Fest offers 16 days of terrifying haunted mazes, roaming zombies, the scariest clowns on the planet and spooky shows ... leaving no tombstone unturned to bring the ultimate sensory overload for every range of fear."

But an Iraq veteran in a T-shirt with a machine gun is not welcome.

Well, my friends. Let's all feel not welcome. Boycott Six Flags.

Help Veterans and United States Citizens First, Not Foreign Kids.

Obama vows to act on his own and rewrite whatever immigration law he chooses. He's got a phone and pen and he 's not afraid to use them. Well Mr. President, what about veterans?

Where was your phone and pen when it came to light about the mistreatment of our veterans at VA hospitals? Did anyone get fired? Did any law get changed? Did you make any executive actions? Um....no. Apparently our veterans are not worthy of your executive decisions.

But immigration and helping illegal children come here seems to be a higher priority. Then you chide the Republican led House about not passing immigration reform. Here's a newsflash: There are hundreds of bills passed by The House that are sitting on Harry-do-nothing-Reid. The same Reid who claimed that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was a White guy. But getting back to immigration.

Why would Republicans pass a comprehensive bill on immigration, only to see it go down the tubes after it becomes law? Mr. President, you don't have a good track record on enforcing duly passed laws. Your own party passed a HUGE comprehensive health care reform bill. And you signed it into law. It had specific items, specific dates, specific times. But how did you enforce that bill? You changed things, crossed stuff out, ignored that, delayed this. Nobody on earth can possibly keep track of how many times you changed that law! So Republicans somehow get a bill to your desk and you sign it. What assurance do they have that you will follow it? Not much.

But instead of using your pen and phone on foreign children coming here illegally, how about using your phone and pen, and demanding justice, service, respect, and great, fast healthcare to our veterans? Somehow your pen just won't leave your pocket. And that's a shame.

Just a side not on The Ukraine. What happened? Where's the outrage and demanding of justice? Can you imagine that a passenger jet with almost 300 passengers on board was shot down,....and not a thing is being done about it? In fact, it's old news! American influence? American ideals? Forget it. We are watching the rest of the world sink into an abyss.

Go RVing and stay safe this summer!

Are your children thinking about joining the military?

If you have kids, and they are teenagers, chances are they may have been thinking about joining the military. They might see the news, or hear from a recruiter at school. College is expensive and the military can help with that. Also, it does give you a guaranteed job right out of high school. A decent paying at that, with what could be lots of training. If your child is 18, they can make their own decision. If they are under that, age 17, they will need your permission. Before saying yes or no, you might want to talk it over. Some very good tips for this is at: http://www.bubblews.com/news/4713541-should-your-child-join-the-military

Take care of veterans before illegals

The border is secure? Sure it is. That's why thousands of kids are streaming across. You wonder what some people in Washington are smoking. Just the tip of the ice berg. Reality will set in to various towns, states, and cities, as they deal with an influx of illegals wanting free services. Like we are doing enough for our own citizens, right?

Like veterans? HELLO! Before any illegals get any help, first in line should be our veterans. Shame on us. Shame on those in Washington who are the cause of problems, then rail that "others" won't vote for a solution.

Here's a thought: Stop causing problems and work on America first.

So these kids are traveling thousands of miles. Supposedly paying thousands of dollars. Where is this money coming from? I thought they were poor and down trodden? What is Mexico doing? Nothing. Obviously allowing these people to just travel right on through!

Our government is helpless at the moment. We are running around like a chicken with its head cut off. If it were not tragic, it would be funny. Well, it is funny. To Russia, Iran, China, North Korea, Syria,...

Some people say these illegal kids are fleeing oppression from gangs, drugs, violence, and the like. So they should be allowed to be here. And they go as far as saying it is our duty to help them.

Well, here's a thought. We have plenty of our own young people, living in squalor, infested with drugs, gangs and violence. They are packed into L.A., Detroit, New Orleans, Memphis, Philadelphia, Chicago, and more. How about if we ship them to France and have them ask for asylum?

We can't take care of the people we have now. How on earth are we expected to care for what will be hundreds of thousands of people?

United States Military is not weak, just woefully unreliable.

The President shamefully used the West Point graduation as a political propaganda tool. It was not a speech for the new army officers, but to his foreign policy critics. Shame on you Mr. President. Telling the cadets we are not weak, but stronger than we have ever been. Reality check! With "not weak," you forgot to add that we are idiotic, rudderless, sporadic, and woefully unreliable. We have no standing in the rest of the world, no matter how hard he tries to pull the wool over the cadets' eyes. Having the nerve to call Ukraine success? HELLO! What about Crimea? If he thinks that Iran, Syria, are successes, he is so far out of touch, no wonder people can't check emails. They don't know what they are doing.

Terrorism is not defeated. In fact, it's grown exponentially since Obama took office. You cannot keep repeating bin laden, over and over, and expect to get some more traction.

Then we still have The VA. Shameful report on Phoenix's VA hospital. And yet, nary a whimper from this administration. But Michelle can sure rail about fat kids, Holder rails against the injustice illegal aliens get, but nothing about our veterans.

And then to have the laughable audacity to talk about global warming...er...climate change as being the next big military operation.......and places like Sudan, Yemen, Nigeria, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, China, Russia, Syria, Egypt, Libya, .....et. al., just laugh.

No, we are not weak. Just woefully out of touch with what's going on the rest of the world.

Nobody takes responsibility for VA or anything else.

The current administration in The White House seems to love giving lip service. Quips like, "Mad as hell," and other nonsense, just roll off the tongues of those in charge of the bureaucracies that make up our government. Billions of dollars spent on things like healthcare.gov, failures, and other misdeeds. Nobody is fired, fined, charged, or sent to prison.

The Veterans Administration should be different, don't you think? It's a bipartisan issue. Helping veterans. The very people that gave their all so these people in high-paid positions could keep taking taxpayer money. And what do they get? More lip service. No action. Just words that ring hollow. Nobody in this administration has been fired due to mismanagement.

We think the VA has committed crimes. People need to be fired, charged, fined, and sent to prison. But will it happen? Of course not. We have Shinseki 'mad as hell,' but not doing anything. He's using the president's favorite ploy. Let's wait. And see. Hope it goes away. Just another fake scandal.

Ever get the feeling that we have a fake president? Isn't it funny that the attorney general, Eric Holder, keeps giving directives and sticking his nose in places like immigration? Telling schools they better not check immigration status...and being very vocal. But with the VA, he's mute. Let's wait and see, he says. No need to get worked up, right? While they let loose convicted criminals instead of deporting them, you know where their heads are at. It's certainly not on American citizens like veterans.

And that is a shame.

Will somebody have the guts in this administration to start firing people? No. Why? Because that would be an admission of a scandal. And we have no scandals, right? Just fake ones. The VA hospital scandal will just be another fake one, swept under the rug.

Unless the American people will finally not stand it and declare they have had enough.

Phienix VA Hospital "wait list" is a crime

But will anyone be punished? Of course not. Instead, as is the norm for the government today, the people higher up will be awarded bonuses and moved on and up. Then eventually being retired on the taxpayers dollar. And nobody. Not a soul will ever take responsibility. Sound familiar? Time after time, this present administration, it's employees in the federal departments, continue to act shameful. Nobody ever gets fired. They just close their eyes, ignore the story, the mainstream media does not care. Nobody cares.

Perhaps this time is will be different. We hope so. The cries from both sides of the aisle on this shameful treatment of veterans will be brought to the forefront. And the director of this hospital should be fired, fined, and charged with a crime. Falsified data. Lying. Cheating. All in hopes of getting a bonus. If that's not a crime, what is? How can you falsify government records, then lie, not be a crime?

The director, Sharon Helman, reportedly received over $9,000 in bonus pay. What a sham. Just goes to show you that no matter how lousy of a job you do, the federal government has low standards. Most of the administration at this Phoenix VA hospital, made hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

But you watch. They will plead ignorant. The White House will once again say, "What scandal?" And any hopes of justice will melt away, while Eric Holder is busy with commuting the prison sentences of potheads.

The VA lied. People died.

We have no standing in the world.

Why is President Obama looked upon as weak? Much of his troubles in the world have been self-made. He went around the world, apologizing, bowing, and just telling other countries how ashamed he was of the United States. Oh how we were going to reset relations, with Russia and everybody else. A new day dawning.

Of course intelligent people knew he must have blinders on. No sane person would ever think the rest of the world would just love to be friends, hold hands, and sing campfire songs.

Putin? You have got to be kidding. Reset? Yup. We sure reset Russian relations. Reset to the Cold War.

But Republicans, namely George Bush, bear some responsibility to this weakness.

America and the rest of the world have been soured on military action, especially from the United States. The Iraq War, with good intentions, morphed into a disaster. After victory, no less. We were in a quagmire with no way out, much less save face. Our military lost a lost of lives.

We just don't have the stomach for America to police the world. And our allies are not giving us any comfort either. They don't want in.

The world economy is still in bad shape.

So now we have the United States sitting on our hands. We look pretty silly drawing lines in the sand and saying "dare you." Only to have the line crossed, draw another line, and say, "I double dare you." The line keeps moving and there's nothing we can do about it.

Not at this point anyway.

George Bush did half right. He knew how to get our allies on his team. Obama knows no such thing. He can't get anyone to follow him. Why bother? He's not leading anywhere. And the rest of the world is just sitting on its hands as well.

Look at Egypt. Iran. Syria. Ukraine. Crimea. Even Venezuela. Nothing. The world stands by as hundreds of thousands of people are killed in Syria. Nobody has the stomach to stop dictators in 2014.

So if not the United States, who? Nobody. Perhaps the next president will know how to rally the rest of the free world around a cause for freedom.

We need people like Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II.

Isn't it amazing our biggest ally, Great Britain, remains eerily silent.

The United States has lost all standing in the world.

Sending Joe Biden to reassure Poland, is like a bad joke gone bad. I mean come on, Joe Biden? I guess Bill was too busy campaigning for Hillary...That's how serious Obama takes this....sends Biden.

US Navy to back up Russia during Olympics?

So the US Navy is offering to have some backup ships near the Black Sea to help out Russia. Just in case it's needed. US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel made an offer of support to Sergei Shoigu on January 4th. This is the same Russia that has befriended Edward Snowden. Oddly, this is the same Russia that warned us about the Boston Marathon bombers. Something that we ignored, I might add. Speaking of those bombers, I guess the NSA wasn't up to the task either on that one. So what do they do with those cell phone records?

Of course we sincerely hope our Naval forces are not needed for The Olympics. It would be quite odd for us to evacuate people or bomb something during a so-called non-political event. The Olympics non-political? Yeah. Right.

Perhaps this is Obama's way of getting back at Putin. You know. We hype the threat to Russia. Making us look like the bigger guys. If there's any country that could crack down hard on terrorism, it's got to be Russia. But it's not the same Russia as it once was. The Mighty Bear is a shell of itself and has had it's share of dealing with domestic violence and terrorism.

The bottom line is that all countries at The Olympics have a stake in safety. Not just for the games, but for the world. Russia needs to pull out all the stops and accept any and all help to put on a safe (and sane) Olympics. But it does put Putin in weird way. Snowden on one hand, and fighting terror on the other. Maybe this is his just desserts. Let's just hope innocent people don't die.

If called upon, we know our military men and women will show off the best forces in the world!
