Deeadliest month for United States

August is now the deadliest month for American forces in Afghanistan.

45 troops so far killed in August.
44 killed in July.

The soldiers are doing a standup job in a difficult situation. Currently there are about 61,000 total fighting in Afghanistan.

Part of the reason for more deaths is that the election was being disrupted.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the fallen soldiers. We want them to know that there are millions of Americans who appreciate them and think they are doing the best service in the world.

Commentary:
Is there a double standard now in news reporting? Afghanistan is Obama's war. Where are the anti-war protesters? Where is the news media, adding up the bodies and giving us a daily body count? Day after day we had to put up with Bush being charged as a warmonger. Is the news media giving Obama a pass? Why? Because it's Obama? Not right. Bush did what he thought was right. Obama is doing what he thinks is right. Media second guesses Bush and berates him, allows Obama a free ride.

However, we are glad that we have no nightly body counts and crazy people on nightly TV doing idiotic things that undermine our troops. Maybe the news media realizes Bush was not a complete idiot after all.
